Wind: Under 20knts Southerly
Tide: High around 2pm
Departure Time: 3pm
Departure Tide: Unrecorded
On Water Time: 2.5 hours
Observed Weather: Cloudy with patches of blue sky throughout the trip.
Note: The forecast was for wind in the mid 20s and 1.8-2.2m of swell in the lead up to this trip. The forecast gradually became worse each day until the trip itself, where the conditions were marginal. Also note, on the last trip we kited for 4 hours, as opposed to 2.5 hours on this journey.
With less than one week's notice, we had 12 KITERS commit to this journey! EPIC! I was ecstatic to have such a positive crew, all so excited for the journey! When the forecast was first issued, it looked like this run was going to be incredible!
Special mentions; we had Matt Birch come all the way from Dunsborough just for this trip! We also had Dan the Irishman and his buddy Reece Nitschke come UP and BACK from Bunbury in a single day!

tips and lessons learnt
We went ahead with the trip as everyone was excited to try it out, partly because of some of my stories and partly because the first forecast issued was perfect. In the future, we will pull the pin on this journey unless there is swell of at least 1.8m as forecast ON THE MORNING of the day.
Big thanks to everyone that came along and supported the idea. I was stoked for to hang out with so many super frothing legendary kiters!
